Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection

Clear Odor Clinic ("the Clinic") collects personal information only as necessary for consultation appointments, including: name, phone number, email, symptom descriptions. Medical records are maintained per Taiwan medical regulations.

2. Data Usage

Your data is used only for: (a) scheduling appointments; (b) providing treatment-related information; (c) maintaining medical records as required by law. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing.

3. Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled (anonymize_ip: true). Google Signals and ad personalization are disabled. Browsing data is not linked to personal identity.

4. Data Protection

This website uses HTTPS encryption throughout. All medical data is processed and stored in compliance with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act and Medical Care Act.

Retention Period

  • Consultation form submission：Emailed to the clinic inbox and kept 6 months for follow-up; when the database is enabled, also stored in Neon Postgres (US) and deleted after 24 months.
  • OSI anonymous self-assessment data：Retained 24 months in Neon Postgres, then deleted. Contains no name or contact info — cannot be traced to an individual.
  • Google Analytics 4：GA4 default retention of 14 months; data is automatically aggregated and deleted thereafter.
  • localStorage on your device (language / theme / quiz progress)：Stored in your own browser; cleared at your discretion (browser settings → clear site data).
  • Medical records (after in-person visit)：Retained ≥ 7 years at the clinic per Taiwan Medical Care Act Art.70; not handled by this website.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Per Taiwan PDPA Art.3 and GDPR Art.15–22, you may exercise the following rights over personal data we hold:

  • Access — confirm whether we hold your data and view its contents
  • Copy — obtain a duplicate of the data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Restriction of processing — limit further processing for specific purposes
  • Erasure / right to be forgotten — request deletion of data no longer needed
  • Data portability (GDPR) — receive data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing

Complaint channels：Taiwan residents may file with the Ministry of Health and Welfare (mohw.gov.tw); EU/EEA residents may lodge a complaint with their national Data Protection Authority (DPA).

All content on this website (including text, images, videos, trademarks) is protected by intellectual property laws. Reproduction or commercial use without written consent is prohibited.

3. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court.
